Guest scores and detailed hotel feedback
The hotel had beautiful and stylish rooms that we loved, and it was nice and quiet with double glazing. However, the coffee maker served very cold coffee or water, which was very poor.
The hotel's location is fabulous, right in the center and close to transportation options. The rooms themselves were absolutely gorgeous, although quite small with no wardrobe and seating. The dining experience was amazing with a wide selection, and the hotel offers excellent amenities. However, at times the service in the bar/restaurant area was dark. Overall, a great place to stay for visiting the zoo within walking distance.
I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel. The Torfin is not just a bar but a lovely one at that. The rooms were a pleasure to use - comfy, clean, and very quiet, making for a wonderful night's sleep. However, accessing the rooms via a rear staircase can be a bit inconvenient, especially on rainy days.
The hotel offers clean and modern rooms with lovely decor, situated close to the zoo and just a bus ride away from Edinburgh. The dining experience is excellent, providing a wide range of choices, but with limited early service on weekends. Overall, a great value option near the airport and city center.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious, clean, and had a cozy blanket waiting for me. The bathroom was stylish with a great shower. The on-site restaurant served enormous portions of delicious dishes. The breakfast selection was vast, catering to both modern and traditional tastes. My only wish was for a small table in the room for added convenience.
The hotel's location is fabulous, right in the center and easy to reach by any means of transportation. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very stylish, with a good-size bathroom. The service was excellent, even offering a welcome drink and pet amenities. Unfortunately, the dining experience was affected by a power failure in the kitchen, but it was outstanding the next morning. Overall, a great stay near the Edinburgh city center.
